Architectural Technologist / CADWoman

Lauren was born and raised just outside of Saskatoon on an acreage located on the South Saskatchewan River. Growing up on the river created her love for water sports, which led her to join Competitive Flat Water Kayaking at the age of eleven. In the following eight years of her kayaking career, she would go on to achieve two medals at the National Championships of Canada (silver and bronze), and seven medals as part of Western Canada Games Women’s Kayaking Team 2011 (five golds and two bronze).

After her kayaking career, Lauren went on to complete the Architectural Technologies Program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic specializing in Interior Design. The Architectural Technologies Program provided a comprehensive and practical overview of residential and commercial construction applications, while her Interior Design Specialty provided a detailed analysis of space planning, lighting design, material selection, and both hand and digital rendering. Lauren worked as a Field Engineer on some exciting projects including the Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon), and the TAPV/FME Storage & Maintenance Facility on the Canadian Forces Base (Edmonton) just to name a few.

When Lauren is not at the office, she can be found at the gym, taking her pups to the puppy park, chilling with her turtle Eclipse a.k.a. “Clippy”, going on new adventures with her friends, and creating new culinary delights at home.
