Tamara Bowman

Owner & Creative Director / Queen ‘B’

Tamara brings interior spaces to life with a blend of creativity, business instinct, and a passion for helping people live well in the environments they call home. Known for her love of fashion, travel, community involvement, and good wine, she is driven by the belief that thoughtful design can improve how people live every day.

Raised in a commercial construction and entrepreneurial family in Saskatoon, Tamara grew up surrounded by design, building, and hands-on learning. She spent her childhood visiting job sites, helping in the family office, and exploring the world of construction long before becoming an interior designer. Her interest in residential and commercial design developed naturally from this environment.

After completing her Interior Design education, Tamara built her career through hands-on experience in homebuilding, retail, renovations, and construction. In 2011, she founded Metric Design, a Saskatoon interior design studio offering full-service residential and commercial design, renovation planning, custom home selections, and project support. Metric received the SABEX New Business Venture award in its first year and has continued to evolve while staying true to her original vision.

Tamara is also the founder of MetricLy, a Saskatchewan-built technology platform that uses AI-assisted design tools to support retailers, designers, and homeowners. MetricLy reflects her passion for innovation and her desire to make interior design more accessible across the province.

Her philosophy is simple. Great design starts with understanding the client. Whether working on a renovation, a custom home, or a commercial space, Tamara creates interiors that reflect the people who use them. Her work combines functionality, beauty, and a sense of personality that makes spaces feel authentic and welcoming.

The Bowman family is known for community involvement and entrepreneurship in Saskatoon. Tamara’s husband, Cary, co-founded Lucky Bastard Distillers. Their two young adult children launched Capri Frescobol, a handcrafted paddle ball brand sold locally and online.

Tamara’s leadership, creativity, and dedication to her community continue to shape Metric Design and MetricLy, strengthening her role as a recognized interior designer and business leader in Saskatoon.
